At last roots are getting their due. For too long their underground life has been ignored. Over many years I have enjoyed drawing them out of their invisible context. I try to give them arabesques of motion, as I do with twigs and branches and an ambivalence that brings together all forms of life: every piece unique but fitting everywhere.
